John Terry Brown

The Law Office of John Terry Brown was established in 1975 in Commerce, Jackson County, Georgia. Initially, Mr. Brown devoted his efforts to a general practice. As the area population increased, Mr. Brown saw an opportunity to concentrate his efforts in a particular field. As the result of his past experience in college debating, Mr. Brown naturally was drawn to litigation and because human issues were his passion, he determined to develop a practice in divorce, child custody, and support litigation. In 1992 Mr. Brown joined the Family Law Section of the State Bar and has continued to participate in that section which concentrates on divorce, custody and support.

Mr. Brown's practice in the area of family law has grown until today divorce, child custody and support occupies the overwhelming portion of his practice.

Mr. Brown firmly believes in the saying "there is no substitute for preparation" and always strives to fully prepared for every trial and hearing.  To that end he aggressively pursues formal and informal discovery of the facts and issues in the case and conducts the necessary research to prepare for all legal issues which may arise.
